Am I at risk for Toxic Shock Syndrome?

I'm close to the end of my period and I was going to a pool party tonight so I put a regular tampon in then afte about 3 and a half hours I came home to take it out and I had little blood on it but my vag hurts and it's really dry down there. Do you think I can get TSS?
