Has anyone tried the period cup things?

I use tampons all the time. They are easy and everything..but I also know that if you use them too much you can get Toxic Shock Syndrome. There are these new period cup things like Softcups that you put into your vagina just like a tampon but they don't leak at all or cause Toxic Shock Syndrome. It suctions to your vagina though and sounds a little uncomfortable. Has anyone tried these? Thanks!
