Well, first, those laws were given to the ancient Hebrews, and I'm a Gentile. Second, Jesus came to fulfill the Law and give us a new one, so those laws are outdated even for Hebrews. Third, those laws were given for a specific purpose which can usually be determined by application of logic and which is no longer applicable in our high-tech, germ-conscious, genetics-savvy society.
